On the 19th of December, 2014, Adekunle Gold released a cover of Story of My Life by One Direction, but his was titled Sade. The song earned a nomination at The Headies 2015, and was acclaimed critically.
Adekunle is a skilled Photoshop Editor. He was named King of Photoshop after releasing a photo, an edited Photoshop picture of himself hugging popular Nigerian female musician Tiwa Savage.
On the 5th of March, 2015, he signed a music deal with YBNL Nation; a music label owned by Olamide.
Sade gave him quite a few followers and exposure, he released Orente, which was his debut single under the YBNL Nation music label.
